THE CLiCAM PROJECT – Cultivating Leaders for Innovative Coatings and Additive Manufacturing Applications
3D Center’s role in the CLiCAM Project

3D Center in Wroclaw is an international center for additive technologies that has specialized in implementing innovative 3D printing solutions for years. The company works with a variety of industries, offering a wide range of services such as consulting, training, and distribution of printers and materials for professional applications. As part of the CLiCAM project, which focuses on developing innovative coatings and additive manufacturing applications, the 3D Center plays a key role as a technology center. The company helps develop cutting-edge technologies, supporting customers in improving production processes and bringing new solutions to market. Through the continuous development of its offerings, 3D Center provides customers with innovative printing techniques that are tailored to their individual needs and specific industry requirements.

CLiCAM Training Program

The CLiCAM project offers a comprehensive training program aimed at developing the skills of researchers, innovators and administrators within an international consortium. The program is designed in three key phases. The first phase involves mapping the needs of participants and identifying appropriate training topics. Then, in phase two, the collected input is transformed into a curriculum on innovation leadership. Finally, the third phase involves the development of a detailed curriculum of six training modules that address areas such as entrepreneurship, technology transfer, intellectual property protection and enabling skills. CLiCAM’s training program focuses on imparting practical knowledge and developing key competencies that are essential for leading innovation projects in various sectors of the economy.

Dr. Michaela Remešová’s contribution to the CLiCAM Project

One of the important aspects of the CLiCAM project is cooperation with experts in various fields. One of them is Dr. Michaela Remešová of Brno University of Technology, Central European Institute of Technology, a member of the research team for High Performance Materials and Coatings for Industry. Dr. Remešová began a three-month internship at 3D Center as part of the CLiCAM project. The goal of this project is to transform European researchers into innovation leaders, fostering cross-sector collaboration to transform basic research into commercially viable innovations, thereby strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty.

Her training at the 3D Center aims to acquire industry-relevant skills such as intellectual property protection (IPR), networking with industrial partners, negotiation and other core competencies. These skills will be gained through hands-on experience, based on an industry-defined topic related to structural design and additive manufacturing of metal parts. During her internship, Dr. Remešová also had the opportunity to work with the Wroclaw University of Technology, where she visited, among other things, the metallography laboratory and the thermal spraying laboratory. These visits allowed her to learn about modern 3D surface treatment methods that can be applied to future 3D Center products. By exchanging knowledge and experience with other specialists, Dr. Remešová contributes to the development of advanced technologies within the CLiCAM project.
